Abstract

A bioassay in small scale of high dynamized calcium carbonate at 6CH potency have been conducted on rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) cuttings. Watering treatments have been done three times in the period of 15 days with water enriched with calcium carbonate 6CH (synonymous of Calcarea carbonica) and with simple water on new homogeneous cuttings of rosemary during May 2024. At the end of the period the new shoots have been measured and evaluated the characteristics of the roots. The number of shoots / plant increased significantly in the treated plants and in the length of the same shoots decreased in the same treated plants. The total length of shoots / plant was similar, showing that the effect of the treatment changes the behavior in the emission of new shoots of the cuttings, while the vegetative energy remains similar.

A first encouraging step in the stopping of the anthracnose fungi infection (Colletotrichum gloeosprolides) on olive fruits (Olea europaea L.) thanks to the administration of high diluted homeopathic remedies: the successful cases of the use of Sulphur 30CH and 200CH in three different areas of Greece on September 2025 on infected olive crops.

Anthracnose fungi infection on the olive fruits (drupes) by the agent Colletotrichum gloeosprolides is a disease that can compromise all the yield of a crop and may compromise the quality of the olive oil and sometimes may destroy all the yield of a olive crop, by rotting the fruits.

In Greece this kind of fruit rot is well known in the Ionian islands (Corfu’, Lefkada) and in Crete, but is certain years is common also in other parts of Greece, due to the sensibility of certain varieties an due to the air and soil humidity during the summer.

In Italy is known as “lebbra delle olive” (“leprosy of the olives”).

At the beginning of September 2025 the infection of Colletotrichum gloeosprolides on the fruits of olives was evident first in a small field Thessaloniki area, then in the area of Chalkidiki area, and verified also in a field in the island of Alonnisos few days later.

All the related crops are organically managed or generally untreated by pesticides.

The infection was especially evident on a tree var. Amfissis in Thessaloniki area, full of olive fruits and in a position where some irrigation was applied.

The geneal “image” was of a tree full of green fruits that could not carry on their maturation, and the hard attack of the fungi that rots fast the most of the fruits, giving the “idea” of leprosy. This analysis suggested that the remedy Sulphur could be suitable to help the tree in order to stop the infection by the develop of a natural resistance against the pathogen and carry on the ripening of the fruits in the better way.

The administration by irrigation of the potency 30CH around 15th of September 2026 and the Sulphur 200CH the next day, showed to stop almost completely the infection, and the fruits remained quite healthy on the tree for months after the ripening. Only the half yield of this tree have been harvested in order to see the develop of the remaining fruits.

Similar applications obtaining a similar success have been done also in fields in the village of Nikiti (Chalkidiki) and in Alonnisos stopping immediately the infection.
